Design Project 3: Execution.Craftsmanship - Selected Sketch 3

Theme: Society and Culture series
Art movement: Street Art
Reference Artist: Banksy

Original sketch: see, hear, talk money.

As usual, I redesigned it as the previous artwork was too simple.
I then used the [magnetic lasso tool] to select the areas I want.
Use the [lasso tool] to add and remove selection of areas.

shift + left click to add areas.
alt + left click to delete areas.

I chose brown color for the fur color as it suits the monkey more.

I then did the same steps to color the money. Of course to define better the
shape of the money, I used to [brush tool] to repaint it's outline.

To do such detail work, it is best to zoom in closer.
CTRL + [-] to zoom out.
CRTL + [+] to zoom in.

The same steps were repeated for the hat. I used the [color picker] to select the color
i wanted.
I then paints the body and the eyes. and I added some [noise] to the picture.
I then added this texture to the painting.

The blending option i used was [multiply] and I adjust the opacity level to [75%]
The end result

my 2nd sketch: Do not judge
Firstly, I had to remove the colors I painted earlier on. So I used the
[clone tool] to erase the parts that I did not want.

Alt + leftclick to select the color.

Then i needed to recolor the clothes of the man. So i used the [magnetic lasso tool]
to select the area I wanted and painted it black with the
[brush tool]
I then used [lasso tool] to refine the selected area.
shift + left click to add area.
alt + left click to delete area.
I did the same for the body and skin of the man. but instead of black, I used a darker brown.
I then refined the edges of the picture with the [brush tool] so it stands out more
clearer.
I then used the [magnetic lasso tool] again to select the shadow and colored
it with grey color using the [brush tool]. As you can see,
not all parts were selected so I had to use the [Lasso tool] to refine the areas
that I wanted.

Then I color the outlines of the shadow so it looks nicer.

The same steps were taken for the girl. But instead of grey color for the shadow, I used red.
and her dress and skin color were also different.

I then added this texture to the picture.
And set the [blending options] to [multiply] with an opacity of [65%]

This was the end result

My original sketch: Which Face should I wear today
I redesigned it as it was too simple earlier on.

Firstly, I needed to color each mask with different colors, so I used the [magnetic  lasso tool] to  select the area I wanted
and then I used the [brush tool] to paint the color I wanted.

After that, the lines on the picture was not defined enough. So I used the [brush tool] again with  a smaller size of 3px
to paint the sides.
The I needed to paint the backdrop of the mask. Thus, I used the [Magnetic lasso tool] again to select the area I wanted.
I also used the [ Lasso tool] to refine the selected area.

Shift + left click to select the area you want.
Alt + left click to deselect the area you don't want.

then I used the [Brush tool] to paint the backdrop.

I repeated the steps for all 4 sides of the background and the masks. and changed the
opacity to adjust the colors.

I then used black color on the [brush tool] in [linear burn] mode to paint the side of the picture
so it has a gloomy feel.
Next, I selected this background and cropped it 16cm in width and 20cm in length

This is the result. And I added a [layer] to my painting. I then adjust the [Opacity] of this layer and set it to
[multiple] so that both the background and the picture will stand out.
Adjusting the opacity level

The end result of my painting.
